I never want you to be bored during a workout!
Working out is so much fun if you know the secrets to incorporating fitness into your life.
First, you have to constantly change up your workout with new exercises. If you always do the same exercises to work your legs, ask a trainer or a friend who frequents the gym to show you some new ones. Keep it fresh!
You should also vary the loads (the amount of weight you lift) in your workout. If you always lift the same amount of weight, add 5 lbs. to each exercise load one week, then go back down to your original weight the next. Change it up every week!
Also change up your exercise volume (sets and repetitions). If you always do 3 sets of 15 on every exercise, try 3 sets of 20 one time. Then try 3 sets of 10. Consistently make your workouts different each week.
Where you workout should change every now and then as well. You can workout outside, in a friend’s gym, in your home, your backyard or at the park. If you’re going to the park, definitely bring your dog and go for a walk or run.
Every once in a while, bring a workout buddy, friend, spouse or boyfriend or girlfriend to the gym. Try a group exercise class.
